Saskatoon Accelerators
The Saskatoon Accelerators were a professional indoor soccer team based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The team played in the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League (CMISL) from 2007 to 2010. The Accelerators played their home games at the Henk Ruys Soccer Center.
The Accelerators were founded in 2007 by Mel Kowalchuk, who also served as the team's owner and president. Kowalchuk chose the name "Accelerators" to represent the scientific community in Saskatoon and its main tool, the synchrotron at the University of Saskatchewan.
