The Las Vegas 51s are a minor league baseball team based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They are the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics and play in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) at Las Vegas Ballpark.

The 51s chose their nickname in reference to Area 51, a military base located about 80 miles north of Las Vegas that is legendary for rumors of its housing UFOs and other extraterrestrial technology. The team's logo features a grey alien head and a mascot named Cosmo. The team's uniforms are also alien-themed, with a baseball cap that features a cartoon-ish alien head sporting baseball-like stitches.
