Edmonton Cracker-Cats
The Edmonton Cracker-Cats were a professional independent minor league baseball team that played in the Northern League from 2005 to 2007 and the Golden Baseball League in 2008. The team played its home games at Telus Field in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The Cracker-Cats were named after the oil industry term fluid catalytic cracking ("cat cracking" for short), which is part of the process of refining crude oil into gasoline by converting high boiling hydrocarbons into smaller molecules.
