Delaware 87ers
The Delaware 87ers were a minor league basketball team that played in the NBA Development League (now the NBA G League) from 2007 to 2018. The team was the affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers. The team moved to the Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Delaware, in 2018 and were rebranded as the Delaware Blue Coats.
The 87ers nickname was chosen in reference to the fact that Delaware was the first state to ratify the United States Constitution in 1787.
