Archmere Academy Auks
The nickname "Auks" is a reference to the Atlantic puffin, a small seabird that is native to the Delaware coast. The Atlantic puffin is known for its bright colors and its distinctive call. The Archmere Auks adopted the nickname in the 1930s, and it has been a symbol of the school's athletic excellence ever since.
