The Montgomery Biscuits are a minor league baseball team based in Montgomery, Alabama. The team is a Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and competes in the Southern League.
The Biscuits name was chosen in a contest held by the team's owners in 2003. The winning entry was submitted by a local fan, who wanted to choose a name that was unique, memorable, and representative of the Montgomery area.
