The Louisiana Monroe Warhawks are looking to build on a 4-8 record in 2022. The team returns a number of key players, including quarterback Rhett Roberts, running back Caleb Thomas, and wide receiver Dai'Jean Dixon.
Roberts threw for 2,372 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2022. Thomas rushed for 733 yards and three touchdowns, and Dixon caught 45 passes for 609 yards and four touchdowns.
The Warhawks also have a strong defense, led by linebacker Dorian Gerald. Gerald led the team with 100 tackles in 2022.
The Warhawks open the season against Army on September 2. They also have a challenging schedule that includes games against Texas A&M, Appalachian State, and Ole Miss.
However, the Warhawks have the talent to compete with any team in the Sun Belt Conference. If they can stay healthy and play consistent football, they could win as many as seven games in 2023.
