Head Coach: Brent Key, 2nd year: 4-4
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Football Preview 2023
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are looking to build on a strong finish to the 2022 season under head coach Brent Key. The Jackets went 4-4 in their final eight games after a 1-3 start, and they return a number of key players in 2023.
On offense, the Jackets will be led by quarterback Haynes King. King transferred from Texas A&M after starting 10 games for the Aggies in 2021. He threw for 2,254 yards and 14 touchdowns with six interceptions last season. King will have a number of talented receivers to throw to, including Christian Leary (Alabama), Dominick Blaylock (Georgia), and Jahmyr Gibbs (Alabama). Gibbs is a dual-threat running back who can also catch passes out of the backfield.
The Jackets' offensive line will need to improve in 2023 after allowing 37 sacks last season. However, the Jackets return four starters on the line, including Trey Hill (Senior). Hill was a first-team All-ACC selection in 2021.
On defense, the Jackets will be led by linebacker Trevor Jackson. Jackson is a two-time All-ACC selection who led the Jackets with 103 tackles last season. The Jackets also return a number of other talented defenders, including safety Juanyeh Thomas and cornerback Amari Gainer.
The Jackets' schedule in 2023 is challenging. They will face off against some of the top teams in the ACC, including Clemson, Miami, and North Carolina. However, the Jackets have the talent to compete with anyone in the conference.

Prediction
The Jackets have the talent to win more games in 2023. However, their schedule is challenging, and they will need to improve their offensive line if they want to compete with the top teams in the ACC. I predict that the Jackets will win 6-7 games in 2023.
