The game started off with a bang as Oklahoma scored a touchdown on their first possession. The Sooners marched down the field and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run by Kennedy Brooks. The Crimson Tide responded with a touchdown of their own, as quarterback Bryce Young found wide receiver Jameson Williams for a 34-yard touchdown pass.

The game was close throughout the first half, with both teams exchanging touchdowns. Oklahoma took a 21-14 lead into halftime, thanks to a 2-yard touchdown run by quarterback Caleb Williams.

The second half was just as close as the first, with both teams scoring touchdowns. Alabama took a 28-21 lead on a 1-yard touchdown run by Brian Robinson Jr., but Oklahoma answered with a touchdown of their own, as Williams found wide receiver Marvin Mims for a 32-yard touchdown pass.

The game was tied at 28-28 with just over 2 minutes remaining in the game. Oklahoma had the ball and was driving for the go-ahead touchdown. However, Williams was intercepted by Alabama cornerback Jalen Pitre with just over a minute remaining in the game.

Alabama took over on downs and was able to run out the clock, securing the victory. The Crimson Tide won the game 35-28 and were crowned national champions.

Williams finished the game with 280 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Young finished with 250 passing yards and two touchdowns. Brooks rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown for Oklahoma, while Robinson rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown for Alabama.

The game was a close one, but Alabama was able to pull out the victory thanks to their strong defense. The Crimson Tide held Oklahoma to just 28 points, and they forced two turnovers
